NOW HIRING! Teaching Artists

CYT Portland currently has 1 class location in the area, and serves children from ages 4-18 in our theatrical classes. Classes are held Mondays & Thursdays Fall, Winter & Spring at Northwest Christian Church in Tigard.
We are actively seeking qualified teachers for our Winter 2026 & Spring 2026 sessions. Please see the specific listings below and click on the Job Descriptions link next to the listing for qualifications and other important information. Please submit the Opportunity Interest Form to be considered.

Artistic Teams

CYT Portland proudly produces 6 fully-staged musicals each year, with outstanding lighting, sound, sets, and costumes. Cast sizes generally range from 40-80 kids, all between the ages of 8 and 18.  CYT shows are a unique opportunity to work with up-and-coming talent in a fun and relaxed setting, while teaching them the importance of having a professional work ethic.  These shows become magic with the help of directors, musical directors, and choreographers who are creative and can communicate that creativity in a productive and positive way.

Internships

CYT has endless opportunities for internships of all kinds. Stage direction, music, choreography, costume design, set building, graphic design, administration, and more!  Working with CYT is a great way to improve your skills, grow your knowledge, and gain experience working in all aspects of theater and business.  Internships happen in our local CYT class and show facilities.
