This Fall, teacher Anna Philipsen will equip 7-9 year olds to be Show Ready! By the end of the term students will have the foundational training needed to prepare them for the CYT audition process as well as production rehearsals. The class will focus on auditioning skills, rehearsal etiquette, and the show preparation process. Costuming, basic makeup techniques, and props handling will be part of the training. Students will audition and be cast in the mini musical of Oliver where they will sing and dance to songs like "You've Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two" and "Consider Yourself." The class will work closely with the Show Ready Tweens class to prepare for Fall Showcase. CYT is encouraging 8 and 9 year olds students that are newer to the audition/rehearsal process to take this class, as well as 7 year olds that have taken a minimum of 1 year of Our Gang and are planning to audition in the near future. *Please note that 7 year olds can participate in this class as a preparation for productions. However, 7 year olds are not eligible to audition for a show unless they turn 8 before the end of the term they are auditioning for. *All students participating need jazz shoes*
