Description

Join Angelina Wright as she brings back the 60's to our youngest dancers. Utilizing the song "Come so Far" from the popular musical Hairspray students will rock, shuffle, and roll their way to better dance techniques. As the showcase number is taught participants will learn foundational moves that will be the building blocks to higher levels of dance for the future. Alignment, proper body placement, core training and rhythm will all be emphasized in this class geared to the novice dancer. Jazz shoes are required for this class.

Angelina Wright

I have been a part of CYT for the past 13 years and am currently the Associate Artistic Director. I started as an Assistant Choreographer and have participated in many of the jobs of CYT including Production Coordinator, Teacher, Choreographer, and Director. Prior to CYT I graduated from The Royal Academy of Dance and was a member of Northwest Dance Theater(NWDT). I am married to Ben Wright who grew up in CYT and we now have 4 beautiful children: Elena, Elias, Tobias, and Solomon. Our family is excited to be apart of the CYT community for many years to come!
