Join Jay Tatco-Nowak this winter term in an Int/Adv vocal class for both CYT and CCT students. Nominated for an Academy Award the love ballad, "At Last I See the Light" from the Disney animated film "Tangled" is simply gorgeous! Participants will work on vocal harmony, breath control, character development through singing, and more to advance their performance skills. Prerequisite: This is an intermediate/advanced vocal class. Students need to have completed a minimum of 3 prior vocal classes or participated in a minimum of 5 productions

Jay started at CYT in 2017 as both the musical director for Beauty and the Beast Jr. and a vocal teacher. Since then he has been the musical director for Scrooge, Aladdin Jr. (Vancouver), Peter Pan Jr., and Tarzan. Jay has also continued to teach classes in music, acting, and dance. Alongside teaching and directing, Jay is also a performer. He has performed in Persephone at Bedrock Theatre and in Once at Broadway Rose Theatre. Jay’s background is in Music Performance, with a Bachelors of Music degree from BIOLA University. He also serves as a worship leader/musician at his church and also does film and television acting.
