Chanda’s passion is working with teens who love theatre. She spent several decades as an in-demand teaching artist with Oregon Children’s Theatre, Northwest Children’s Theater, & Oregon Ballet Theatre, and led workshops for Portland Area Theater Alliance, Oregon Thespians, Young Professionals (OCT) and more. Chanda founded Staged! Musical Theatre in 2005, where she produced award-winning shows on stages all over Portland, and led educational initiatives for youth. She now manages Sherwood Center for the Arts and gets to ferry her daughters to and from rehearsal. One of her favorite things to do is to visit beloved Staged! alumni who are living their theatre dreams, and snuggle her tolerant dog, Coco.
