Description

Musical Theater is a wonderful way to experience the stage. It comprises the elements of acting, singing, and dancing in order to bring a story to life. This fall Monday beginning students will join teachers, Katherine Olson and Lucy Hall to learn the basic elements of the stage through song and dance. Utilizing the ever popular song "Let it Go" from Frozen for their showcase piece, students will improve their stage skills. By the end of the term the Musical Theater class will perform their piece at the all class showcase "Dare to Dream Jr."

Showcase for Fall will be on 10/26. Students arrive at 5pm and doors open to audience at 6:50

Katherine Olson

Katherine has recently aged out of CYT after participating in 12 productions. She has served as counselor and dance teacher at several CYT summer camps. Katherine has studied tap, jazz, classical ballet, hip hop, as well as various other musical theatre dance styles. When not dancing, she enjoys curling up with a good book, daydreaming about good food, and spending time outdoors with her chickens. Katherine has a passion for dance and the Lord and she cannot wait to share her passion through teaching dance.
