Description

Who done it? Join Kristina Coulter this winter and unravel the mystery! This Clue-inspired class will focus on creating clear effective characters that will engage and delight our showcase audience at the end of the term. A fast-paced and puzzling script will be used as each student receives a specific character to work on throughout the term. This level 2 drama class will challenge students to expand their knowledge of staging, character acting skills, as well as facial and physical acting. Whether you are Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, or Professor Plum this comedy/drama class will provide cast teamwork to play off each other and solve the mystery!

Teacher:

Kristina Coulter

Kristina went to her first musical as a 2nd grader, turned to her mother and said, “I want to do that!,” and thus began the journey into theater and performing arts. Kristina was a part of competitive singing and drama companies all through middle school, high school and college. CYT would have been her dream as a youth! She attended Washington State University and got a Bachelors in Journalism and Fine Arts. She worked as a radio personality in the Portland market, then followed her husband to start Young Life in Sisters, Oregon. She worked as the Creative Director for Multnomah Publishers (real books!), then as a Creative Director for a large church, where she did all of the communication print and web design, as well as stage design for large events. Kristina and her Jon had four kids in three and half years while running Young Life Ministry all over the state of Oregon for 21 years. Their own children are now all teenagers and are involved with CYT. The Coulters live in SW Portland and Kristina is a Visual Store Manager at Crate & Barrel at Bridgeport Village.
