My background includes baton and cheerleading, but dance team became my main focus beginning in high school. I discovered my knack for leadership as the Captain of the Sweet Home HS dance team for 4 years. Because of my hard work and talelnt I was recognized as an All State Honor recipient throughout my HS dance career. During the summers I participated in The Thunderbird dance camps where I received the title of Miss Thunderbird. This set me up well to move on to a professional dance career as a Blazer Dancer for the Portland Trailblazers for 2 years. After this I moved to Albany where my passion for teaching dance led me to open a dance studio for 15 years called Albany Dance Academy. While owning the studio I coached and choreographed the top state championship dance team, Albany High School. In 2003 I started the Oregon State University dancers and continued as head coach until 2006. I also enjoyed assisting with the OSU Co-Ed Black squad Cheerleaders as well. My passion for dance has never dwindled through the years and currently I am loving being a dance mom and model manager for my beautiful daughter. I look forward to working with CYT students and pass along my knowledge and love for the art of dance.
