CCT Portland

Coming Summer 2025!

CCT Portland presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" showing for one weekend only at the Sherwood Center of the Arts with 4 performances on August 15-17, 2025. 

Anyone aged 8 and older is welcome to audition for CCT Portland, regardless of prior CYT experience. 

Open Auditions: Friday, July 11th 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Closed Dance Auditions: Saturday,  July 12th 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Crew Interviews: Friday, July 11th 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Closed Vocal/Drama Callbacks: Saturday, July 12th 11:30 am - 3:00 pm (Invited cast auditioners)
Rehearsals: are held at NCC - Tigard on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am - 3:00 pm July 17 through August 9th also including Tuesday August 5th.
SCA Theater load-in: is Sunday, August 10th with Tech Week the 11th - 14th 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Shows: 8/15, 8/16 & 8/17
Strike & Party: 8/17
Production teams meet on Saturdays to design the show.

About CCT Portland

CYT Portland has opened a new community theater program called Christian Community Theater (CCT Portland). CCT Portland produces one full-length, Broadway style musical each year.

Christian Community Theater is a program of CYT that allows adults to have the same positive, uplifting theatre experience that our youth students have. CCT upholds the same values as CYT.

How to Audition for a CCT Show

1. Create a Family Account if you don't already have one 
  • Click on the person icon on the top right corner of our website
  • Click on “Create New Account”
  • Fill out the info required for your user profile

2. Email kkrajcar@cytportland.org to let us know you'd like to audition for Joseph.
  • We'll add you to the interest list and you can move on to the paperwork step listed below right away.
  • You must read and agree to all requirements and expectations in the CCT Production Manual (found under pdfs on this page)

3. Final Steps
  • Complete and submit your audition form located on the Parent Hub.
  • 18+, complete our background check consent from located on the Parent Hub and online child safety training. The link for the child safety training will be sent via email once background check has been processed.
  • Submit a production team form located on the Parent Hub.
  • Audition slots will not be assigned until the above steps are completed
Important Info:
  • Anyone 8+ may audition (must be 8 years old by auditions)
  • Friday Auditions will be open for auditioners and supporters to watch. Saturday Dance Auditions & Callbacks are closed. All auditioners are required Saturday morning at Dance Auditions. Afternoon Callbacks are by invitation only.
  • Thoroughly review the Production Manual and all the production requirements for cast.
  • Cast member accounts will be charged a production fee.
  • Log in to your account to pay your production fee within 24 hours of being cast.
